Getting involved with the BIA not only supports the industry in which you work, but it also provides  you with numerous opportunities to develop new business relationships, new skills and  increase your understanding of the issues facing our industry. Participating in the BIA can be a critical success factor to your professional development.

General Membership Meetings: The Chapter hosts Membership Meetings every other month, typically on Thursday evenings. Events range from networking fun to important programs such as the economic outlook for the industry. Come meet others in the industry and expand your network.

Special events: Each Summer, the Chapter hosts its popular Golf Tournament – this event sells out every year! In November, BIA/LAV holds an its annual Installation and Awards Event. Come celebrate the successes of our members and meet the new Board of Directors.

Committees: Participating in committees introduces you to people from a wide range of companies involved in the building industry.

Meet people working for builders, developers, banks, and mortgage and title companies, not to mention every supplier of products in a new home! Committees plan a variety of events that help fund the work of the BIA, and increase the contacts and knowledge of those who participate.

Government Affairs: This committees tracks and influences the policies of city and county governments as they regulate the homebuilding industry. BIASC/LAV Goverment Affairs Committee focuses issues within the cities of Los Angeles and Ventura Counties.

PAC: The Chapter runs a Political Action Committee that makes contributions to political candidates who understand the need for housing in our region and who are working to meet that demand. Contributing to the PAC helps the BIA reach more candidates.

Partnership Program: The BIA/LAV Partnership Program provides high exposure for a company member seeking to align itself with the Chapter. A portion of the sponsorship is dedicated to your attendance at Chapter events.
